About the artist: Vibeke Nødskov lives and works outside Copenhagen. She holds a BFA from Art Center College of Design in Switzerland and a Master in Design from KADK, DK. After several years working as a graphic designer and art director in Denmark and abroad, Vibeke Nødskov has moved into a more experimental field. Here she explores and combines materials such as yarn, thread, wood, dried flowers and found objects such as beach stones, bricks and pieces of plastic. In an often intuitive dialogue with the materials, new expressions and narratives are created in images or sculptures using embroidery, knitting and screen printing, among other techniques. Her work has a simplicity inspired by Nordic nature and is often infused with messages and invitations for reflection. (artist's own description)
