THE BOARD

Since the Charlottenborg Foundation's establishment in 1857, the annual censored Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition has been an important framework for promoting and supporting contemporary upcoming voices in visual arts, architecture and design. The Board of Directors of the Charlottenborg Foundation covers the subject areas that the annual exhibition covers.

JOHN KØRNER

JOHN KØRNER

Chairman
John Kørner (b. 1967) graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1998 and is represented by Victoria Miro Gallery, London, England, Galleri Bo Bjerggaard, Copenhagen, Denmark and Keteleer Gallery, Antwerp, Belgium. He works mainly with painting, but also graphics, ceramics, sculpture and installation. Ves have had more than 30 solo exhibitions, participate frequently in group exhibitions at home and abroad and are represented in collections at, among others, ARoS, Arken, Statens Museum of Art, HEART, Tate Gallery, The Saatchi Collection and Centre National des Arts Plastique.
PETER MOLLER

PETER MOLLER

Vice chairman
Practising architect and lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in Copenhagen. He has dealt with architecture as an artistic practice in various contexts, including as part of the architecture gallery Modtar Projects and as programme manager and co-founder of Copenhagen Arcitecture Festival. In parallel, he has contributed to a number of exhibitions and publications.
SØREN RØNHOLT

SØREN RØNHOLT

Self-employed photographer, with focus on portrait photography and landscapes. His most extensive artistic project to date is the photographic study Nordic Women, which after a long fieldwork in the Nordic countries has been shown in a wide range of exhibition contexts. He has had several solo exhibitions and has exhibited at a number of group exhibitions in Denmark. In 2014 he published the photo book The Nordic Book.
CHRISTINA AUGUSTESEN

CHRISTINA AUGUSTESEN

Visual artist, works with the light as his medium and has a background as an architect and lighting designer. Among other things, she has exhibited in the Free Exhibition Building and at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London. She creates works for exhibitions, decorations and in-situ projects. The hallmark of her works is that they mediat the sense of light and colour, and she is concerned with the intangible nature of light in the interaction with the materiality and colors of surfaces. Her colour palette is based on nature, the context of each work and the colours of daylight.
ANNETTE DAM

ANNETTE DAM

Board member
Jewellery artist, graduated in Norway from the National Academy of Arts in Oslo with a master's degree from the Department of Metal. She lives and works in Copenhagen. Her work has been exhibited widely both in Denmark and internationally and has been awarded several awards. Her artistic practice consists, among other things, in turning abstract ideas into wearable jewellery stories in a universe where duality, reflexive layers, artisanal expertise and aesthetic representation are allowed to coexist.
ANN SOPHIE VON BÜLOW

Ann Sophie von Bülow (b. 1987) is a visual artist from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts' Visual Arts Schools. She works mainly with photography, installation and contextual practice. Her work explores themes such as transcendence, autonomy and intangibles, seen with an anthropological gaze, based on a social-based practice. von Bülow has founded the Cosmic Hierarchy, which in the past year has manifested itself in a number of exhibitions and activities in the sanctuary of Christiania.
