Aleksandra Mir er født i Polen, opvokset i Sverige og boede i New York City i 15 år og på Sicilien i 5, inden hun slog sig ned i London, hvor hun nu er bosat. Hun har dobbelt svensk-amerikansk statsborgerskab.

Helsinki-based art historian and curator Kati Kivinen has been working as curator for temporary exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art KIASMA since 2003. Her past exhibition projects in KIASMA include f. ex. the group exhibitions Thank You for the Music (2012) and First We Take Museums (2005) and solo exhibitions by such artists as Gunilla Klingberg (2004) and Heli Rekula (2005). For 2013 she’s working on a solo exhibition by Finnish artist Mika Taanila.
