Tina Maria Nielsen graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts In 1997. She works in her practice with the cast and imprint of the world, which she has translated into works in everything from paraffin, wax, concrete, plaster, rubber, polyester, aluminum and black or glossy bronze. The material translation fundamentally leads to moving things out of everyday unconscious handling and understanding and into a more fluid exchange between image, process and language. She has exhibited at home and abroad and is represented at, among others, Horsens Art Museum and Esbjerg Art Museum. She received the Danish Arts Foundation for a 3-year-old work grant in 2007 and Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen's large honorary grant in 2018.
