Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition 2017

Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition 2017

Exhibition period: 3 February - 11 March 2017

The Spring Exhibition is an open, censored exhibition, which for 160 years has been an annual event in Kunsthal Charlottenborg's annual programme. The spring exhibition is organized by the independent institution Charlottenborg Fonden.

The Spring Exhibition 2017 presents artists from all over the world: many are from Denmark and northern Europe, but behind the contributions are also artists from countries such as Japan and the United States. The exhibited works cover the subject areas of art, architecture and design.

As jury member Line Clausen Pedersen describes in this year's catalogue, art remains sought after as a space for human reflection and, in these years, not least the digital. Classical art such as drawing, painting and sculpture must give way to the digital and electronic, while the semi-religious and mystical are recurring themes at this year's Spring Exhibition.
