Opening of the Spring Exhibition 2023

For the 166th time the Charlottenborg Foundation invites to the Spring Exhibition at Kunsthal Charlottenborg and presents this year's accepted artists. More than 944 artists and artist groups have applied for this year's Spring Exhibition and with the record number of applicants, the jury has reviewed more than four thousand works. The field has now been whittled down to 37 artists and artist groups who can be seen at this year's Spring Exhibition, which opens on 1 February and runs from 2 February - 5 March 2023.

The accepted artists and artist groups are:
Ria Albano, Solveig Aalberg, Anders Aarvik, Emil Alenius, Kristoffer Bech, Marcus Trappaud Bjørn, Adam Bloch, Yasmina Derradj, Ash Garwood, group-aja: Alberte Hyttel, Amalie Holm and Julie Lecuelle, Siri Hammarén, Lene Harbo, Maria Hardin, Helen Haskakis, Torkild Helland Kleppe, Laurits Honoré Rønne, Jan Ijäs, Yasmin Jalilian, Flemming Jensen, Ebba Johansson, Iida Jonsson/Ssi Saarinen/Ona Julija Lukas Steponaytite, Mads Juel, Carl Lützen, Amalia Melchior Hyldahl, Bjørg Nielsen, Ivan Nylander, Theodor Nymark, Students from the Master's Programme in Art and Architecture at the Royal Academy's School of Architecture in spring 2022: Philip Alexander Antons, Nina Ballegaard, Nomi Ancher Bekker, Fredrik Bergan, Anne Louise Bjerre, Malin Eva Katarina Eliasson, Anna Fogh, Esther Kristine Fröhlich, Kajsa Gustafsson, Marcus Alexander Bøhmer Hornslien, Mads Vagn Jacobsen, Jonathan Carl Jensen, Ane Bella Sjøsten Panholm, Rose Bygholm Risager, Clara Sabel, Anna Eglite Sørensen, Anne Marie Stahl, Magnus Johan Storgaard, Torjus Tenge and Tobias Uldahl Thomsen, and teachers: Rikke Sandbugt, Høgni Hansen and Thomas Knud Gunnersen Harboe, Nisei Ota, Signe Ralkov, Nicklas Randau, Sophie Søborg Mosbæk, Jørn Sørensen, Ihsan Tahir, Meri Toivanen, Jelena Lilija Kimsdotter Vänts & Frej Volander.

On 8 February, both the winner of the Solo Prize in collaboration with Politikens Forhal and the winner of the Deep Forest Art Land Prize will be announced. The shortlisted artists and artist groups have been selected by this year's jury, which consists of visual artist Ann Sophie von Bülow, visual artist Julie Falk, curator Isabella Hemmersbach, glass artist and designer Nina Nørgaard, visual artist Skjold Rambow, architect Peter Møller Rasmussen and photographer Søren Rønholt.

In connection with the Spring Exhibition 2023, the Charlottenborg Foundation invites you to a programme where admission is free on the opening day and on Wednesdays after 5 pm. Everyone is welcome.
